Kellie Pickler on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader
Ok, so at first I didn't think this post would have any relevance to music but it was just too funny for me not to share. But I realized that this woman is actually a country singer and her name is Kelly Pickler. Now I know that there are some unintelligent people out there and people really do believe Europe is a country. But honestly I'm going to have to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she just came on the show drunk. I mean you can tell even Jeff Foxworthy was thinking your acting a little to intense right now. You be the judge...
Japan - Life In Tokyo
I don't know anything about this tune. All I know is it's a great 80's hit ('79 to be exact).
MGMT

It's pretty bad when you have a CD for such a long time and you don't even hear the whole thing. What's worse is when you find a video of a song you really like by the group on youtube and you look to see if they have a new album out just to find it's track 5 on the one you got. Speaking from personal experience, I am now listening to the rest of the MGMT album. The video to track 5, "Kids" is what got me back into them and it just goes to show everybody loves to dance, even your local weatherman. And I'm not opposed to painted faces (i.e. Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit was the king of face paint) but I think they definitely could have done better than cat man and I don't know about the other guy. Anyway the song is awesome!!
NERO - Choices
Every Friday night here in Atlanta, Georgia State's radio station 88.5 WRAS plays two hours of straight Drum 'N Bass. BIG UPS to them because they always play some smashing tunes. Two weeks ago I heard one of the most incredible D&B tunes as I was rolling to a party with my friend Tumi. I was lucky enough to do some detective work and find out who it was by. Check out these boys from England who go by the name of NERO! They are so serious about there D&B and they produce some intense Dub-step too. Here's the song that got me hooked. "Choices." As my man Tumi would say, "This song is on steroids!"
